Hello to Everybody ;)!

I think to buy GS1150/2000.

Heard at some models from series GS have many problems with a gearbox :(

it is the truth?

Thanks

Hello and welcome Alex
if you use the "search" link you'll find lots of threads about it, but don't be scared: bear in mind that only the people with problems actually post them. In other words, there are many people who didn't have any problem at all. I guess it also depends on the way you use the gears...
I have never had any problem with it (R1150GS) ... touch wood....

Mine's a 2000 1150GS & I've never had any issues with the gearbox. Oh, & I ride it quite hard as well, so it should be a good test of its robustness (is that a real word.....?)

Just in case, though, I picked up a spare for £50......

I used to have two spare gearboxes but I've only got the one now - and I didn't sell the other one  Think the failure rate is pretty low on 1150's TBH - I just killed mine :D

Thanks lads!
I hope i will be lucky. I really like this bike and I will buy him tomorrow :D

Good luck Alex. Post some pix when you get it:thumb
