ABR 2026

They are cool thats a good option 👍 never seen those before ill have a read up on them tonight. Sounds like plenty of first timer going obviously word has spread that its good.
They’re brilliant, 125cc modern version of the old Monkeys/Dax’s, but bigger, comfier, 65mph 130mpg, fuel injection, disc brakes, all LED lights, electric start, we use them more and more nowadays.

I’ve been 3 of the last 4 years. Been lucky to hook up with a couple of folk but it’s hard enough to organise anything when you’re in there because very poor phone coverage understandably.

It’s a well run gig with very clean toilets and showers. If you like motorcycles and rock music and beer then it’s hard not to enjoy yourself IMO.

The queues for the bar can be long and slow earlier in the evening. I take my own beer but do go to the bar later on when they’re quieter.
There is a supermarket near by to stock up over the festival and it’s no great shakes to get out and back in, in the afternoon.
We cook up as, like all festivals, the food is not cheap and, generally, small portions - there is some excellent food though.
There will be a few of us on the Unchained Tours stand: N36
Come by and say hello

Looks good most reviews seemed pretty positive, some said it was a bit rammed but what festival isnt. Did you find camping had plenty of spaces?
Not that rammed. Can get food and cheap beer no problem. I really really enjoyed it. Loads of space for camping. We arrived Thursday and you literally camp where you want in the field. Each nights entertainment is brilliant.

I think the organiser last year said no pint could be over a fiver plus he picks all the bands on his own taste.

Someone selling 2 trail passes on another thread i thought i might go for one but there on same email so cant split them, chucking it out to see if anyone wants one as well i could get them an meet up when there give you the ticket for some cash for beers haha 👍

If you can still get them Peter, I would happily take the second one ...

Im going this year. In 2024 and 22 the tent camping field were massive with lots of space.

Re someone asking about £900 per pint , Im sure the organisers insist there are certain beers available at £3.50 max. That doesnt include the special draughts or Hobgoblin caravan thingies

I'm hoping to arrive on Thurs about lunchtime, put up the tent and see what's happening.

I'm getting the ferry in Dublin at 4am (yikes!) and arriving into Holyhead about 8am.

I'll either be buzzin later on or out for the count :augie

No worries ill drop them a message now and let you know the outcome £54 for the pair so yeah just chuck us £27 when we get there if it comes through ok 👍
Brilliant - good luck with that. I could Revolut you the 27 too if we're in luck. And I'll buy you a beer anyway :beerjug:

Haha - yes, always a danger, we never get tired of the bike banter

I’ve been for the last five years and each year it’s got more diabolical, less appealing but also more expensive.
I’m not wasting my time or money this year, last year I arrived at 08:10 on the Friday and there was nowhere to park a van in the designated van field below the lake because of the high volume of attendees on what they optimistically call VIP day, (Thursday).
Most of the food is shite too.

Question for those who have been before to ABR any idea what the set up is with test riding bikes while there, seems like quite a few listed on the website i wouldnt mind a spin on a few variants, however with 15k odd people the is it a case of wonder up and all slots are taken within an hour of getting there or what? is it a short test run just around a field they set up where there renting them from, cant really push a road glide to the max on grass haha. Anyway any info appreciated

You queue at the specific dealer in the morning to put your name down.
4 years ago we started queuing at Honda just gone 7am and were second in line. The queues get very long very quickly.

All the adventure bikes get signed off early but if you’re not bothered and just want to go for a ride there’s plenty of road bikes left to book mid morning.

The ride depends on the bike and manufacturer.
Small adventure bikes eg CRF300 are taken on an easy lap of the off road course, bikes like the Transalp are on road.
The road ride is around half an hour. They’re usually led by police riders - 2 years ago I went out on a Motoguzzi and the leader made good progress, my wife went out on a Transalp and found the same. I’m sure this will differ.

I’m going again this year.
Might well take a bike with tent but most likely take the Honda Hotel for the comfort.
Not interested in riding while there, for me it’s all about the guest speakers, the music and festival atmosphere with likeminded folk

Can’t wait.

Edit to address a couple of questions asked.
Getting in queues: I’ve been three times, the first and only time I took a bike it was a nightmare. Zero issues the other two times, just park up in the check-in area and pop to the gazebos housing the check-in desks.

Price of Drinks: it’ll be cheaper than your local, it has been cheap every year, however if you want to bring your own drinks you are welcome to do so. Just make note that glass bottles are not permitted on site.

Good advice from all most appreciated, im going to head out for the early doors ride out on Saturday 7.30am as i like to get a bit of saddle time in then ill happily enjoy whats on offer, fingers crossed but looking at the forecast at the moment could be in for a scorcher.....not sure thats a good thing in a tent haha. I might see if i can take something out for a spin always nice to try something different now and then, they seemed like a fairly big and diverse list of bikes.
