ABR Festival - who’s going then?

I’m intending on popping in for a couple of laps and if I’m feeling brave will try the TRF trail.

Going on my ATAS. If it's dry I'll be on the Bridgestone trail, if it's muddy I will give that a miss.

Is this the thread where all the cynical and jaded inform us that they won't be going, and why, or will they save that for the afterwards thread? :)

Was considering taking GS-911 too going by the amount of screen change requests/grief people are having on faceache.

Have a friend in the Trf helpers there...

He will probably have a giggle at the No hopers on there fully panniered gs,s going around...
Which I witnessed several years ago....what a wanker he was....

I’ll be there with panniers and road tyres, doubtless making a mess of the Bridgestone Trail. :)

Just noticed in one of the updates which seems eminently sensible;

"Pillions and pedestrians are not permitted on the trails, and all panniers must be removed before entering the trails."

I'm assuming the demo rides will all be booked by the time I get there on Friday so will just do a few laps of the Bridgestone trail then if I'm feeling brave go and fall off on the TRF trail. Im hoping there is a little rain before Friday, just to keep the dust down.

I've got some nice chunky Mitas XT+'s to try (20/80 off-road bias) which were pretty good in Wales last weekend. Only slight issue is the rear is the Dakar version and seems to be hewn out of very hard rubber.

Might give Sunday a miss as there is a lanes rideout that I'd like to tag along to in the Peak District, and I'll probably have seen everything I want to see.

I've got an Unchained Tours stand there by the travellers tent.

All tossers are welcome to come on the stand for a blather and a chat about anything that takes your fancy.

I'll also be speaking with James Oxley about all things Alaska in the Travellers Tent on Friday at 12-40 if you fancy a sit down for half an hour.

It's a massive festival that's for sure.

I’m all packed and setting off in the morning. 👍

Hope it’s fruitful for you Chris. 👍
