Okay my second stupid question...........

If the 2006 bikes picked up the revised ABS system is there a way of telling which of the two systems a 2006 bike has just from looking at it i.e. is there an obvious giveaway such as an external brake fluid reservoir?

If you mean the change from servo to non-servo ABS, then I can't think that there's any obvious visual difference until you lift the tank and see the absence of the servo. The easiest way is to turn on the ignition, apply a brake and listen for the slight buzzing of the servo.

Yes, that's what I was getting at.

I was figuring that if the bike has the straighter support bar on the main stand then it's also likely to have the non servo ABS. If it has the hoped shaped bar on the stand then it's got the servo system.

You might be right.....:nenau

Probably don't even need to turn the engine on. If you just push the bike a few feet and try the front brake, if it's a servo model next to bu**er all happens, if it's non servo it should pull up like a 'normal' bike
