Hi all
I have an unusual fault on my 2002 R1150GS. 39k miles almost all in the last 4 years since I bought it.
While braking from 50mph + to slow down to a stop the brake pressure seems to release for a fraction of a second around 25mph and then continue to brake as normal. Happens with front alone or both brakes applied. Not tried on back only.
The ABS does its usual operation before moving off and there are no errors on the GS911. I have bled the systems (have done it before it’s no problems) and the pressure on the lever seems good. I checked the clearance distance to the (cleaned) ABS speed sensor back and front.
Any ideas? I did have to change the gearbox at Xmas after an incident with a van so everything was dismantled so there is likely to be something I have done or not put back right but struggling to find it. Also put in new pads when repaired the bike.
Not really affecting use of the bike. It does not happen every time (but more than half I would say) and the speed it happens is low but be good to resolve!
Thanks in advance.
