I recently did some work on the front brakes on my 2000 1150gs. Calipers off for a good clean and new pads. I then bled them thoroughly. Since then(well it happened about 100 miles after) the abs keeps cutting in at low speed!? This is when driving at anything up to 30mph and not going near the brake at all! Anyone any ideas? I've had this bike 7 years now and never had this issue. Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand? You're not touching the brake at all but the ABS pump is starting? Do you feel anything? i.e does the bike appear to run on like brakes have been let off? Does it only happen at lower speeds? The brakes aren't binding? No hot disks or smelly calipers? The brakes are working fine the rest of the time? Have you forced the ABS to work - ie on a loose surface and see if it's OK then? No warning lights?

Thanks for the quick replies guys. This was wrecking my head.. I've just come in from a run and checked the front end. The wire coming from the ABS sensor had come loose from its retaining clip and had rubbed through to the core on the ABS ring!! This was causing the module to cut in all the time. Careless assembly on my behalf!!. So problem solved now, just checked it and all back to normal. Many thanks.
