OK one came with my original wheels and the other with my GSA spoke wheels.

Doses anyone know if there is any difference in the workings or does it not matter which I fit with which wheel.

The inductive magnetic sensor counts the lands and holes as they pass, which gives a square wave output proportional to wheel rpm.

Seeing as they are obviously very different in your picture, I would say they are not compatible and you need to fit the same ABS sensor ring from the same model year of bike.

Probably the same reason why you can't fit a late model GS/A final drive to an early GS/A and expect the speedo or ABS to work.

I think the one on the right is fitted to GS's with ABS & servo brakes and the one on the one on the left is ABS with no servo fitted. Someone with more knowledge will correct me if i'm wrong!:comfort

I was just curious to know why they were different, I re-fitted the one that came with the bike which is the one on the right and its has been fine, no errors or anything. The one on the left came with the wheels which are Adv wire wheels so guess they are different.

Thanks for the responses, like I say I just wondered.
