Thats only for servo bikes - means absolutly nothing on normal ABS bikes

What earth did you use to earth the reset.

Does the ABS switch actually work, If not you can't reset the abs.

How many times did you try. Depends on how long the lights have been flashing, but if for a while, it may need doing a few times .

Cheers for the reply neil, the bikes been doing it for a day ,i used the footrest bracket to squash a wire against the frame, the abs button does work, when i did the reset both lights were on together,i think thats right isnt it? as soon as i turn the bike on again...alternate flashing...ta again

Use the battery earth terminal . Hold the ABS button down for 10 seconds. Keep it earthed while you turn the ignition off.

Give it a few goes.

Done it a few times now as you suggested, used the battery earth, left it earthed as i turned the bike off. It will always show 2 lights together when i release the abs button but as i turn it back on they are flashing alternately...what now ? is it bmw or can i bring it too you neil?
thanks again...

Don't want to state the obvious, but if you start the bike fairly quickly after switching on you will get the alternate ABS flashing light.
I am normally fairly slow in a morning so it doesn't happen much, but when leaving work it has been known to happen
Try counting to two before turning on the ignition and pressing the...... the ....erm ....... start switch., (shi1Tt I almost said before kickstarting the bastard... small mindslip. :rob )

You beat me to it, if my lights flash just after start up, I continue to warm the bike up to temp then get it moving do a quick stop... engine / ignition off switch back on wait a few seconds restart all ok.

oops sorry just read the post again , if its been doing it for a day or so I'am not so sure.... I'am assuming that your taking it for a quick spin after each reset attempt. ?

Thanks every body, will let you know how i get on...a load of aeroquip hose and no abs is the way its looking. :)

rear sender...according to bmw...40 quid for that info  gonna try a mates b4 i buy.thanks again fellas
