thought I read on the forum somewhere about a re-setting tool(to plug in the connection under the seat but have had no luck locating one(moto-bins,sherlocks et al) can find one for an1100 but have been told its not compatible,any ideas?

Why do you need a reset or code read?? When do your lights flash alternately after you switch on the ignition or once you press the starter button?

There is an easy procedure to reset the ABS but tell us why you need it first so you're not just doing reset after reset

Hi there ScaniaMan,

Click HERE for some very interesting info on ABS faults, presuming of course you have ABS 2 and not i-ABS (I think from about 2003 on have the i-abs but I am not 100% sure, my 1150 is a 2000 and has ABS 2)
See the link on post 4 for all the info you will need to reset the ABS and read the fault codes.
What year is your bike?

the bike is 2002,Im waiting for bulbs for the warning lights(none in)then I need to check if it works,sounds easy just typing it out,but in the middle of Ireland nowts easy!
