ABS

Hi, Just would like some clarification on ABS operation.
I have a 2009 R1200GS, when I switch ignition on It self tests.
Brake warning light stays on, then goes off after I move off.
By pressing ABS button according to manual for 2 secs ABS icon should light up?
Can anyone clarify this cause it does not happen on mine.

It should be as clear as it says on the manual . You have the answer to your question
As far as I know , you do not need to bush the ABS button only to deactivate it and on again but that only if you wish so.
I like my ABS on at all the time and I never need touch the button

You have to push the ABS button and hold for a few seconds !

You also have to be stationary, and IIRC in Neutral...
