I remember similar arguments being given when compulsory seat belts were introduced. :rob
I wonder now if any of the anti belt brigades arguements stand up at all now.
Also think same will come to pass for the anti ABS in future.

I think we should all ride with ABS and traction control switched off with a steel spike fixed to the handlebars pointing between your eyes. Then we would see some super smooth magnificent riders. :mmmm

Used it once in anger last week. And i can still see the face of the the van driver in my mind as he waved at me as if to say sorry after pulling in front of me. Maybe without it i wouldnt have remembered anything !!

FYI .. The sales guy put no pressure on me at all .. I placed the order without ABS !! later when he asked for the deposit he said his manager has asked for a £1000 deposit because I hadn't opted for ABS !! I wasn't happy about this and gave him the silent treatment !!! He then said I quote "If you tell me your going to walk away from the sale unless I accept a £500 deposit.. Then I'm sure we will except 500 ". So I gave him the £500 and thought about it for a couple of days .. Also posted a similar question on the forum and the consensus was ABS was worth having. So as a result I changed my order ..

So engineer I disagree that the sales guy saw me coming .. !!

Cheers

Steve

Only joking - just couldn't resist the opportunity :D
