I ordered an Accelerator Module this afternoon or I might have done! (and mines a 1200...)

Anyway, would be please to read of anyone’s comments on these, I'll report up on mine some time around spring

OK, right, I did a decent 160 mile road test yesterday, on town, country and motorway roads.

Verdict?

I am extremely impressed with this 29 euros module.

Performance:
With the module fitted, there is now a distinct increase in power and throttle response through the rev range, and I love it.
My GSA lifts its front wheel with ease in first gear off the throttle. ok they all do that sir.
Yesterday, with the module fitted, the front wheel went skyward as I was accelerating hard down a MW slip road…in second gear. This alone impressed the hell out of me.

Fuel economy:
This result shocked me even more.
Average fuel consumption pre-module = 45.1 MPG (on computer)
Average fuel consumption with module = 46.1….wow.

Don’t ask me about how this simple bit of wire works. It could be black magic for all I care…but it has transformed the performance of my GSA.

So, to say I’m over the moon impressed with this module, Is an understatement.

Recommended.

ordered mine over the weekend and was shipped yesterday, so hopefully by the weekend ill be able to fit it and reap the rewards, just wish the weather was a tad nicer!

1st two from NLs version of this site, 3rd from a Belgian one.

The Dutch Recyclizer is a "joint effort", between that site and one of their
enterprising members.
Most everyone is happy with what they got. There did seem to be issues with early versions, now long remedied.

MAVN's 'piece of wire', is similar, tho' he has suggested that his might perform better in sub zero temps. There is room enough to place resistors within connector shell. That must be where Marc's live.

Any comparos between these two products and something costing 10X more, is not valid IMHO. I'll be e-mailing Marc to clarify a couple of component (packaging) Qs, but I think I'll give one a go, too.

Most folk report similar-ish fuel consumption, but better ride-ability.

I have a 2006 GSA with Keihan headers and Zard exhaust can.
I also bought a K&N air filter but I haven't intalled it on my GSA after all the things that I read about running lean and causing problems and

My question is...if I install this small electronic device, I will be able to intall my K&N filter and I won't have any problem with running the engine lean or it wouldn't do anything? Does it worth to spend the extra 30euros?? or I would have to sell back the K&N filter??

and don't tell me about that it won't work if you drive with stable speed..because I am riding mainly A and B roads and I never have stable gas...:cool

The Power FRK corrects the fueling for the ammount of air flowing through the airbox, so if you have exhaust, filter etc fitted, the engine will be drawing more air for given RPM.
The other devices drop the IAT reading by about 20 degrees to fool the ECU into feeding the engine more fuel.
They work, but aren't very sophisticated.
The power FRK is more expensive at £239, but it because it senses RPM as well as air flow, it adjusts the fuel & ignition for any situation.
As I said previously, I will be doing back to back tests very shortly.

Just ridden my bike (1200GS) for the first time since fitting the Accelerator. Took it easy (a bit) with a new front tyre on but what a difference.

From the start, riding away from my house was a completely new experience on this bike. It was smooth. All the way to the motorway on 30MPH roads every low speed manouver was spot on no faultering or surging. The rest of the 40 odd mile run was brilliant, although at some speed so I'm not sure what effect the Accelerator might have had.

I've had the bike for 7 months, done over 10,000 miles and the only mod it has had is a Remus header and Revolution can. I have to say that from this mornings run the Accelerator mod has got to be one of the most cost effective modifications you can make. If only for the low speed stuff.

Best 29€ I have spent in a long time.

I don’t think it would be wise the fit a high flow air filter like the K&N with the Accelerator Module, even though you say you never use a constant throttle, your engine could still be burning to lean.

If you really want to fit a K&N, then I would go for either the Power commander (+ dyno set-up), or maybe the FRK.

Or I could be wrong

My Accelerator Module arrived today in a jiffy bag, it was ordered Saturday so took just 4 working days. Instruction sheet is nice and clear if you need it, but as its pouring with rain today I may put off fitting for a short while.

mine arrived this morning care of Mr postie, and fitted it shortly after, and .......


what a difference!
low speed lurching has now gone making driving through town a breeze, also driving off road is now easier, found a few gravel lanes on my travels and noticed that its easier to hold a lower gear for longer, where i was using 2nd before, im now using 1st.

at faster speeds i didnt notice the difference that much, but the GS felt alot more eager to rev and more responsive to boot,

its not a replacement to fitting a full system and a power commander, but for 27 euros, its well worth the money, and to me anyway, makes the GS the bike it should have been,

havnt noticed any nagatives yet, but then i only rode with it fitted for approx 100miles. both slow traffic in town and b roads and motorways, but did notice that on town the temp gauge seemed to go higher faster, but then thats due to the engine running richer i suppose?

all in all, a really worthwhile investment for any "tosser"
