Hi there,

I’m new to the world of bmw gs’s, I became the proud owner of a 2008 1200 GSA three weeks ago and tbh I love it, why did I ever bother with sports bikes?

Any way one of my pals down the pub mentioned he had an accelerator module fitted to his and said is made the bike a lot more responsive, does any one else have any views on these modules and also if possible could you recommend the best one?

Cheers, Phil

phil the search button is your freind mate, this has been done to death on here, btw i have one and it works real good:D

Welcome to the site and the wonderful world of the GS....it is pretty knock about on here but it is a great place to get help and assistance.

I have an accelerator module fitted and would recomend the later more expensive version with the temperature sensor. Having said that it is a pretty crude device and I personaly didn't experience a huge difference with my 08 model other than low speed pick up was a little smoother.

Others report big differences so for a fairly low cost it is worth a shot. However, to get the best out of an awesome bike the full engine remap seems to deliver huge gains in power, torque and smoothness....the search engine is your friend.

Cheers

cheers bud, I have just done some searching and found them on sol2 i presume this is the site you used? And for £40 quid its worth a punt tbh.

Yep, that’s it, Sol2...:thumb

I’ve had my acc. on for 20k+ miles so far, and it still works perfectly.

Also, the Acc mod really comes into its own in this hot weather were having. As I’m getting 50+ mpg.
You will find that during winter, fuel consumption can drop to the low/mid 40's though.
