Accelerator module

Got one in my 850 and a friend was so impressed he put one in his 1100rs (with GS intake tubes) and he thinks it's brilliant
 
Isn't this just a resistor and a piece of wire that fools the ECU into running in cold start mode (ie rich mixture)?

I'm no mechanic but according to the website it only cuts in when accelerating, not running normally so stops/helps to stop a snatchy throttle :nenau.

A few 800 riders use and like them - no extra fuel used apparently - I'm going to get one for the wife's wondered if it might be good for mine too.

Basically yes, but your welcome to hack your wiring to bits and fit the appropriate resistor if you want. Does it really matter ? It works and is neat thats all that counts is it not ?
