Hi,

I'm a rustic on DIY for Bike... Can you please advise how to access & possible repair or replacement of clutch slave cylinder for BMW R1150GS - noticed that there are small leak on the floor - don't think it is the gearbox cos' the gear oil is like a treacle!! But the hydralic fluid is getting low!!! :eek

Thanks

it could be a leaking clutch hose ( they corrode, try a search for pictures i've posted) or loose banjo bolts/corroded washers on the slave cylinder.

Access is at the back of the gearbox. You'll need to remove the rear shock to get at it.
And to give yourself a bit more slack in the clutch line undo the nut on top of the L/H fork leg, push the stanchion down so you can run the clutch hose "this side" of the leg which gives you much more slack in the hose.
