Shugie...you're correct, the link provided by the virus asked for a 500 euro payment by bitcoin, obviously nothing was sent!
I've downloaded Microsoft Word reader 2003 but this won't open the files. Any suggestions exactly which package I need to download, please?
I usually run the Avast free anti-virus but I must admit I took it off a few days ago as the computer got incredibly slow, without it , it was fine.
The computer shop did a scan of the computer and found 76 infected something or others!
