Has anyone transferred anything successfully from the previous model?

I've the tank bag, mudsling, mudguard extender and a frame bung, which I'll leave on the outgoing bike if they don't fit, but will keep if they do.

I'd assumed that, but Nippy Normans still say "all years" for the mudsling, so was hoping that that, at least might swap over.

I went down to take the Akrapovic off today, but that's not shifting with my socket set. If anyone wants it once it does come off, please let me know.

Not the downpipes etc, the can and short length of pipe leading to it. The shop will take it off for me when I part-ex the bike if it doesn't come off tomorrow.

It looks mint. Used, of course, but I'll clean it up and think that it'll come up like new.

Gutted that my adventure panniers aren't going to fit

Gutted that my Sargent seats aren't going to fit

Gutted that my tank bag isn't going to fit

Still I should be able to make my fog lights fit :thumb

I've already looked at fitting mt small BMW tank bag, easy to make a back bracket and a hook type fixing for the front.
Don't know how much a new tank bag is, but the old one will do for now.
Also making a plate to fit the old vario topbox seat on the back, 6mm aluminium plate fitted to the screws on the 2013 model and the top box rest onto that.

Actually this thread has inspired me to have a closer look, and I can't see that it would be that difficult to adapt the adventure rack on my bike to fit the new one.

It would save me £451 on buying a vario box which I don't really want and would make putting a tent across the panniers much better.

If any one's done it, looked at it,or has any ideas I would be most receptive to any comments.

Just removed the sat nav mount from my TE and found that the power supply is the same plug as is on the front of the T.C. -
Probably going for the new Tom Tom and this will do nicely to power it :thumb

I've looked and I think it is possible, one box is pretty easy just needs the fitting turning around, the exhaust side is a bit more difficult but can't see why a good ali fabricator shouldn't be able to manufacture a replacement rear to swop sides, all for a lot less than the new kit.

This another reason why I didn't jump in and am waiting for the adventure version as the pannier rails are going to be so much easier ( I hope) to use with re-engineered panniers, took me years to collect all the stickers on my current ones

I was hoping the back drive crash bung was going to fit and my cymarc mudguard extender at the back of the number plate might.:blast

Ah, can you tell me more, please? I'm generally a fan of Tomtom over Garmin, and am also a fan of using my existing GPS over a £350-400 new Zumo just to make use of the bracket that the new bike has installed.

On the subject of accessories, does anyone have a link to the catalogue for the new bike's ones? I'm not going to be after much, I think, but will probably want cylinder head covers, possibly a new tank bag, and I'd like to see what else there is. I'm off for a 600 mile round trip the day after I pick it up, so that I can then have the first service done before I head down to Spain, so would like any necessities put on there for delivery, as it'll be a few thousand miles before I'm back again.

I was tempted to get the service done in Zaragoza as I pass through, but think that maybe I'd prefer a shake-down and getting to know it before I cover it in luggage and head away on a long trip.

It's true, stuff doesn't fit

It's true, unless it has a generic fitting like a pipe or tube clamp you will find that the bike has been hugely changed.

Or get another "right" side box and trim to fit. Which TBH is pretty much what TT did with the originals.
