to go around

My 90th is due next Sunday and Sat Nav's & Pannier straps are allegedly like Rocking Horse Sh!t.
Has all the potential makings of a another Hoover Free Flights Debacle !!!

BMW UK must have known the allocation of GSAs for the UK till the end of the year and covered off with the number of each item of kit.

ive just ordered a new 90 gsa,sat nav is on back order until sept, all the rest in stock:D,dont stress you will get sorted

The offer is available to retail customers of new BMW R 1200 GS Adventure and R 1200 RT motorcycles and all special edition variants of these models (including ‘90 Year’ editions), subject to availability or until stocks last.

I picked mine up last month - the dealer filled the gaps left by BMW and supplied a Satnav and Tankbag from his stock. He tells me the Satnav is the rarest item (December?). I should search the dealer's store cupboard if I were you. The freebies would be a BMW Head Office marketing team wheeze - doubt if much counting of what's available actually went on - just put "subject to availability" in the blurb (which they did).

Good Luck!

.

I ordered my 90 a month or so ago to be delivered this Sunday from Vines Redhill. I have not been warned of any delay in the extra goodies. Not worried; as long as the bike is there, the rest will follow I'm sure. Enjoy the new toy :thumb2

The cases are important of course, but IMO the BMW straps/handles are over complicated and dont add any value over some half decent bungees. The ends will always end up flapping in the wind and rub the soft alloy.

A simple length of webbing sewn to a large clip buckle and run front to back is all you need for lifting the case. Then use bungees for those rare occasions when you need to tie stuff down.

I took centre part of the BMW strap and ran it front to back this gives minimal extra to flap about. The remaining 75% of the strapping system never gets used.

I got some quick release handles off eBay for my cases.

Your cases and nav will appear on the order at full price, and there should be another line on the order with that amount as a discount.:thumb:rob

not on my order it doesnt, comes on the order as gsa promokit, value 0.00

Ah, ok, maybe they word it differently if its a head office promo then.:thumb As long as its on the order, folks should still get their freebies at some point, just maybe not with the bike.:D On my LC, all the freebies were listed at full price, and there was a line on the order with that amount as a discount.:beerjug:

I got a slightly different story from my dealer. Said the Sat Nav was delayed (and the straps) but that they would be providing the new Navigator V based on the Zumo 665.

Time will tell.......
