Looking to fit Nippy Normans kit for BWM Din or Car Plug on to the 1200GS.

Do you connect it direct to the battery or take cut in to the existing Din Plug wiring and extend?

I am looking to run this into the top box, so I can have phone and Ipod on charge whilst riding and in a safe dry place.

Current Din plug is used to power Autocom.

Any help much appreciated. :thumb2

I run mine with an inline fuse straight from the battery but Im not sure about the 1200

You can do either.

If you run it direct to the battery you will need an in-line fuse. 5 amp will be fine. It will though be permanently live, so will flatten the battery if you leave something charging for hours / days on end without the engine running.

Or you can tap into any convenient live source. The back light is good (not the brake light, or it will only be live when you put the brakes on) or the under seat power point. That way it will be switched. The fusing will be done by the can-bus.
