Hi all,

I'm looking to install my tomtom 40 satnav to my 59 plate GS. I've wired up a canbus connector to the tomtom wiring which was purchased from nippynormans so to connect into the accessory socket on the bike, but I can't seem to locate the accessory socket.

I thought it may be located just behind the oil cooler but nothing there that would fit the canbus connection from the tomtom. Any pointers where it may be located on the bike as I'm a bit stumped.

Thanks in advance

If you are sitting on the bike, it's behind the right hand side of the 'tank' panel. Bit further back than the oil cooler. It is there, just hard to spot.

They hide the thing but keep hunting as in post #2. You might well need a torch but you shouldn't need to take any panels off.

That's assuming some bone idle previous owner hasn't just chopped it off, as they couldn't be bothered to disconnect it. See other threads where this has happened.

Or they have cable tied it back into some obscure location.....

it may also have a blanking plug so wont look like what your expecting to see
