Accessory socket

can anyone confirm whether the accessory socket is permantly live or goes on/off with the ignition?

Fix a puncture, raise a tent, find the wine in your pannier, and conduct a rectal polyp examination.

aye.. I bought it so I would always have a light source without having to bother with carrying a torch. but... being the ingenious type.. armed with a ping pong ball with a little hole in it and a bit of masking tape to hold the two together.. I have a servicable lamp for the tent. thats bright enough to read by.
