Accommodation Campbeltown

actually Alan, you'd have enjoyed it...Steve S, Drew N, Norman R, Pete and Diane,
Macallan and Glenmorangie.....good combo!!

Can you recomend anywhere nice to eat and drink the night away as I'm heading to Campbelltown on Saturday..... most folk i've spoken to are asking why on earth would anyone go to Campbelltown:confused:

Hey!!!!.........careful, I have family in Campbeltown (only one 'l' note) :D

Spent many a happy school holiday there in my (much) younger days.

Beautiful scenery and although I have forgotten the road in, I recall it is a beautiful drive/ride with the sea on your right.

I seem to recall it always rained though........but perhaps my memory is fooling me.

Happy days.

Enjoy.

we (the GSers)......

did, at least once, go down there enmasse to lunch in a Hotel, grand run indeed, and good fare in the Hostelry.
We left as quick tho' :hide

soooo....I went to an hotel for tea, and if I never go there again it'll be too soon!! I think I would take some local advice when you get there....avoid the hotel!!

I think it's fair to say it's the armpit of Scotland...some nice roads, tho' apparently the busies are busy with the hair driers...it's an OK place to visit, but you wouldn't want to live there. There's a corner between Tayinloan and Machrihanish where they've flung down hot tar and chuckies and it's quite exciting if you miss the signs. OK for a run, but that's about it. Do some research for tea and dwinkies.
