Just had a quick trip around some of the new european states and found a lovely place to stay in the medieval town of Cesky Krumlov, Czeck Republic. Run by Peter, an English guy & his Czeck wife.
They were both very welcoming & very helpful. His place is a couple of hundred years old but recently refurbished.
He offered covered secure parking for my bike.
He has a web site: www.penziononyx.cz

We had a couple of nights last July, in fact we were the only guests at the time. Cesky Krumlov is a great place, really enjoyed it.

Pilzn

We stayed at the Rango bar in Pilzn (yes; where Pilsener beer was first brewed).
No frills place; quite cheap and located in the town centre. Hotel Parking is around the back and the gates are locked at 10:30pm.
Plenty of pubs/clubs and restaurants.

see http://www.rango.cz

although they show the most expensive suite (all of €30 per night) on the site.

Aahh... Cesky Krumlov and the Penzion Onyx…all I can advise is “Don’t drink the refrigerated spirits” that Peter pours…you will end up with the Mother of all hangovers…Happy days...:D
