A friend of mine has a Yamaha 600 XT and was moaning about the 15 ltr tank so i said that Acerbis do a 23 ltr tank,
he phones me today and said £250.00 is too much but he is looking at getting a 1200 GS to get the tank range:eek:
So a late model 1200 GS from a dealer what does he need to look out for?
Any advise will be passed on although i might have to sensor the abuse and piss taking.

I'm sure £250 for the fuel tank will be cheaper than the cost to change bikes.

I'd say the xt is more economic than the gs so there won't be much benefit from the extra 5 litres. Better buy a gsa. Or the tank. JJH

Yes i only mentioned changing the tank but he likes the XT as it is i didn't intend to light a fire:blast

Buy a 5 litre plastic petrol can and two bungee straps. Job done.

Why doesn't he just come out and say that he wants a 1200 GS rather than come up with some wanky excuse for buying one? :D

Rotopax are one option or a fuel bladder.

It looks like he is going to get a 08 1200GS from a BMW dealer having a look next week.
