Ackrpovic Carbon End Can

Anybody had this problem

went out for a ride today with my mate when I got home I looked at my 08 GSA and noticed something didn't look right with my carbon akropovic end can
The bike has not been dropped bumped but my carbon end can appears to have collapsed - as if the carbon layers have failed !!

I bought it last April so I will take it back under warranty - it appeards to be a manufacturing fault although it's been on the bike for approx 8,000 miles.

Any one had a similar issue or have any suggestions as to what has caused this ?
