acrapovic headers

I'm going to be having some Dyno time, before and after so ill let the Dyno tell me if it running lean and if it warrants having a re-map..
Well I guess that's the only way to find out with absolute certainty what's going on!

Lovely. With the switch to the LC engine the GS has gone from the ugly duckling, the LADA of motorcycles, to the belle of the ball in one move.

finally fitted the headers today definably seems to have a lot more grunt and revs a lot more freeer
tried without the servo motor but light flash up on the dash so fitted it back on lights go out
all in all took maybe two hours
well pleased

Yeah leave the motor plugged in, just remove the cables, because you brought light on dash your fault code will be stored in the ecu now, but don't worry they'll clear it when you take it for service.

You can see the holes left, after removing the cables.

I have Remus Pipes and can, (yeah yeah ... I know the thread is about Acrapovic ... ) and feck me it's noisy :eek I went for a hoon the other day and got some reasonably disapproving looks from a few dog walkers .... :P

when you start to mature in your bike ownership/use : you will absolutely begin to hate LOUD bikes.

Well with thirty years under my belt, and twenty of those riding for a living, I'd like to think I'm there ...

That's why I got rid of my Remus, it started to do my head in, when you give it the beans its got a very angry bark and that was with the baffles still in.

Yep .... it would be ridiculous to take the baffles out ... :thumb2

Just fitted the headers. Road test to follow.:D

If you have the TT engine guard, it won't fit with the headers, so you need to trim it down at the top, or remove it.:rob

Got a chance to try the bike since fitting the headers today. It's not as loud just pootling round town, but on the open road, it's much louder.

Most of the flat spots in the rev range have disappeared, and the bike has more get up and go.

They have lived up to my expectations.:thumb

I'd prefer it if they were shinier though.:comfort Mmmm, shiny.:D

Why didn't you just take the cat out of the original headers almost the same result but still shiney and you'd be £400 better off !:rob
