Not much difference I bet, its the cat removal that adds the power and allows the engine rev more freely I'd go for a decat and remap

Can the stock muffler be used with the headers?...is the outlet the same size\location?
Yes the stock can can be used with aftermarket heads, i fitted my stock can with my akra headers as a trial fit and it sounded much better than with the akra can.

Thanks...that's what the REMUS literature says so i was guessing AKRA was the same and it would make sense.
Is there any quality\performance differences between the REMUS and AKRA?

Well i bit the bullet and got a set of AKRA headers (E-B12R4) on the way from Italy with expedited shipping...as they are not officially on sale in the US right now for another month or so.
Hopefully they make it in time for my 6K service next SAT if not i guess i'll have to get the wrenches out.

You won't be disappointed.
If you like loud pipes than the Remus is for you, the Remus on my bike did my head in even with the baffle in, the akra is the gentlemen's pipe..
Bugger! Does that mean my purchase of Remus headers to complement my Akra can will preclude me from entering "gentleman's establishments" in the future?
