howdy,
removed battery to charge up (R1150GS) and when I reconnected it all, alarm is dead. :tears Worked fine pre-battery removal. It's an acumen 9000 series, which I think is a model 911. It came with the bike and there are no documents to go with it. It's an alarm only (no immobiliser). I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, and must 'fess up I'm no mechanic or auto-electrician, and the limited blurb I've seen online says the alarm is (should be?) very straightforward. Sorry if this query is a bit vague, but any ideas, wise ones? :mmmm :thumb

:rob :rob :rob

I have an Acumen on my 1150 and it seems to have a mind of it's own at times.

After the last service it would not work after the battery was removed :blast .This may seem daft, but it worked for me:rolleyes:  ...try removing the in line fuse for a couple of minutes:augie :augie.... and then replace it.  It worked for me and no problems since:thumb :thumb .

Hope this helps....it is so daft it sounds like a wind up, but its not!:nenau :nenau

Seem to remember that on my old bike which I had the same alarm, that when you disconnected either the alarm or the battery you had to press both buttons on the remote fob. It then bleeps at you to tell you that it has recognised the remote fob and is ready to use again.
Hope this helps

problem solved - UKGSer to the rescue (yet again)

Cheers MIKE R and SilverBobGS. I didn't have chance to firkle with the bike since you posted your replies, until this morning, and SilverBob's suggestion worked a treat, so I didn't even get as far as trying MIKE R's idea. :beerjug: :clap

Thanks very much to both of you. It's a never-ending source of helpful chaps and chapesses this site. Bally marvelous, I reckon. I shall now go check out the posts on the upgrade to Mapsource V9 for the Garmin 2610. :thumb
