Alarm Problem

The alarm on my Triple Black has issues in that sometimes it triggers and sometimes it doesn't. You can take the bike off the centre stand, give it a good shake and walk it round and the alarm won't sound. The bike has been in the dealers for over a week. They have replaced the alarm unit but the issue persists.

Has anyone had a similar issue and if so what was the outcome?

That is probably one of many reasons why this specific alarm (BMW) is not recognised by insurers.

Spookily enough I got had just received quotes from Carole Nash for with and without a BMW alarm for a new GSA triple black. No difference so won't be bothering with one.

Does your bike have keyless? If it does then the motion sensor is disabled when the key is in range. Your dealer should know that though.

Yes - it is keyless but it's playing up when the key is out of range. They've had to refer the issue to Germany.

Ok. Sorry unable to help further. That was the only thing that caught me out.
