Like any professional in a major company, there will be many email rules set up to filter out junkmail, spam, pishing ,and general wacko emails

I have 3 company's who target me daily with webinars, symposiums in Holland or Munich & training for toxic employees.

One oven offers me a visit to my company's HQ for being one of the first to sign up lol

Considering we dont do visits, and they haven't twigged that my works email addy is the same lol just shows how automated they are !
 
All, reply received to day from Volker Van Wantoch on behalf of Dr Marcus Schramm. Explanation given and some sort time frame provided. Happy that my complaint as gone as high as it can do I think
 
I bought my bike in September and can see the voucher expiring before it can be used.

The vouchers will time out and they will have got away with it.

My voucher says it's valid for 5 years from date of registration, and transferable to the new customer upon sale. I would hope and expect that they can sort this within 5 years.

With the rankly pathetic explanation "BMW Motorrad has therefore decided to focus on a stable production process at the plant" and "we don´t expect to be able to start the retrofit campaign before Q3/2023, but for sure we will be able to provide the LED unit within 2023". Also "
The voucher does not have an expiry date for the retrofit of the LED unit".

I have replied expressing my dissatisfaction with this and have given them a date by which I expect the work to be done or I will begin the process of rejecting the bike as being sold under false pretences (I was told the work would be done in 2 to 3 months), we'll see!
 
I have had the same reply , I have emailed back with my disappointment with BMW attitude to customers which had paid BMW not being sorted ahead of production bikes being made now .

i was told that so i expected it would be undertaken by winter 2022

i was told by halloween jones that units were coming through in date of purchase order - but i have no idea how many are in front of me

it would be interesting to know how many riders are affected. an email or letter by many can have more impact then just individuals getting a stock cut n paste reply

im not saying we do what the french do but....sometimes you need to be French and a citizen, not Briitsh and a subject

That is the only thing that will work. Whilst all the sheep keep buying BMW bikes there’s no reason for them to improve the quality. Only when a significant amount of sales are lost will they get better.
 
Getting fed up!

Bought mine in October, dealer very apologetic but knows nothing, and BMW "Customer Service" need a lesson in customer service.
 
I just got informed that the LED upgrades will happen in the order of purchase. Also, it is a global issue so no possibility of knowing when exactly it is going to happen. No idea.

That will show them. You have already bought their bike, so they won't give a hoot. The money now is in the servicing, so no matter who buys it, they will still make the same if the owner gets the bike serviced by BMW.
 
At my dealer service, the other day, I was told that there are no lights available and sadly many customers had moved bikes on. Furthermore , recall checking of final drives, for bikes after 2014, has stopped , because "no parts available".
 
I bought my bike from Wollastons Northampton last September. Just had a call that the replacement light is due in next week. Booked in for replacement in a couple of weeks time.
