I hear Touratech are expanding their 1200 catalogue to include an aftermarket tow truck:augie

My "Farkles"

Ok sorry if i duplicate what I could'nt be bothered to read properly.
From my off road experience I have found only a few weak points on the 12gs and these are
1 sump guard. Standard is crap and easily ripped off.
I replaced mine with TT 1200 GSA Full length job. £180 well spent. survived see sawing over rocks on the Hafren with no damage at all. Hardly even scratched.
2 TPS or correctly Throttle position potentiometer.
It's a bit exposed mainly to boots flailing around it. The TT cover seems to stop the plug getting knocked off.
3 Headlight
Obvious really. Stones might break it.
I made a cover out of 6mm Lexan and ally edging made for kitchens.
I know the lexan will never break because I tested it by firing a 12gauge at it at about a meter away (not on the bike of course) and it just pepered it but no cracks.
4 Cylinder covers.
These are always getting broken it seems. (a couple went on my recent level 2)
BMW engine bars are RUBBISH and just bend and tear off.
The Hepco & Becker ones on my 12 are amazing. I lobbed the bike soo hard on a rocky hill clime on the hafren that I thought I would have trashed the bars, but I got away with just scratches.

I also have cheeky pipe on the bike..Boss I think. Feels faster.
