Additional power supply from canbus

Does anyone know if the GS comes with more than one auxilliary canbus power socket as pictured ?

I am looking to use the one near the headstock ( as per picture) for the GPS and if there is another one, ideally at the middle or the back o fteh bike, for the autocom.

The one you have pictured is designed for GPS use. You can connect to the rear of the Accessory socket for your Autocom. A kit is available for an extra socket on the beak, but as this uses the rear of the Accessory socket as it's power source the total load is still five amps.

Be advised that anything connected to the rear of the Accessory socket (and so taking current) will stop the BMW battery charger working correctly through the Accessory socket. A neat solution for (15 amps) is the Touratech TPS 15 if you wish to use the BMW charger with the Accessory socket.

There is no other socket hidden away.

One option that I used was for:

The headstock canbus socket to power the GPS
Powerlet 90 plug into the accessory socket that went to a Centech panel, leads from that to the autocom, phone charger etc.

Allows you still to use the socket to charge the bike, and if you're paranoid about flaat batteries, you can pull the plug out if the bike isn't in use

Allows you to add extras without too much faff as long as you respect the 5 amps total load, but does allow some diagnosis of problems. That is GPS doesn't power up, does the other bits? If yes then it ain't a 5 amp overload trip, must be soemthing wrong with the wiring to the GPS or the GPS itself.
