Hi all :thumb2

Been planning this for a while. Now my tinted screen is here I've decided to take the adjustable spoiler of the MRA screen and fit it to the BMW tinted one

Bit nervous drilling the 4 x 8.5mm holes but I used the Vario as a template and all was good :) you will see in the pictures the angles of the brackets are an exact Mach on the curvature of the BM screen. The spoiler cured the buffeting but prefer the look of original screen. The clip on spoilers are £80 so thought I might as well use the one I have and it's a permanent fitting :thumb2

The angle of the brackets a perfect match to OEM contour :thumb2

Looks good there Jon :thumb ... and this is the config that has worked for me as well (though on a GS LC). Using the clips as of now, holes will happen over the weekend. IMHO. I like the look with the spoiler better than without it. Has taken care of buffeting and wind-noise off my Shoei Neotec.

Are both your BM screen and the MRA spoiler the same tint? Seems like it is not.

The BMW one is darker than the MRA Vario but it's ok. Might put clear back on during winter commutes though :thumb2

Good (if a little expensive) solution.

I hear ya, I bought the MRA Vario as the standard clear was causing the buffeting on my Tour X. The Vario cured it 90% so was happy.

The tinted screen was already paid for and I ummed and arred about not getting it but I do like the look of the OEM screen. So at the end of the day I can reconfigure the MRA back to standard and still have BM tinted albeit with 4 small holes that can be blanked off with rubber gromits.
