Unable to open re above.
Whats that about!

Is "ukgs'er" the normal suffix - I thought it was "ukgser" - perhaps it's nothing to do with the site...

Mike:rolleyes:

Ignore it, delete it

The easiest way to generate virus emails is to fake addresses from real domains and spray them around. We had one guy with an address of michael@whatever who got 500 notices that he was sending emails with viruses in one day when he hadn't been in to send mail for three weeks. If it's a real message the body of the text might still contain the text of the message.

On the other hand Paul might be infected...

99.999% certain this won't be BHT's fault.

Somebody who has previously received an email from BHT has got the Netsky virus on their computer. Netsky works by setting itself up as a mailer and then sends out hundreds of mails to email addresses it finds by scanning the hard disk on the infected computer - but it spoofs the "from" address by picking at random one of the addresses that it finds.

Bastards - the people that wrote it.

Bloody fool - the person who's computer is jinfected. Antivirus software is reasonably priced - even free if you go for AVG. No excuse not to have antivirus software on your PC.

It is possible to trace the sender - simply by tracing the IP address back. But ISP's won't release IP addresses but will take action against the offender if they persist in send out virus laden emails. Complain to "abuse@......" email address substituting the ISP's domain name for "...." if you can trace it.

Not ment to piss anybody off.

It's not from me Bob.

I get around 10 - 15 of these daily, portraying to be from legit addresses, some alegdly even 'come' from Symantec (world leader in antivirus protection).
