I have Adobe reader X (10) on a laptop and use it fairly frequently to add 'field' notes to drawings sent to me by clients as .pdf documents, and its very useful for my simple needs. I was a free download a few years back.

I have just purchased a Windows tablet (Linx) and want to have the same facility on the tablet. (The objective is to set the tablet up the same as the laptop, which is already set up the same as the office computer).

I have copied the Adobe folder completely onto a memory stick to transfer. I checked the contents, but cannot see any 'auto run', or installer files, so :

Q1. How do I offload from the stick to the tablet. What file name should I be looking for, or is this not possible?

I have looked on t'interweb, but cannot find what looks to be a 'safe' download. Numerous web site are 'offering' Adobe 10 downloads, but I don't want some dodgy infected software on the tablet.

Q2. If the answer to Q1 is not possible, does anybody have a copy of Abobe Reader X that I could use.

Thanks.

Can you still add signatures, (by using an image from a folder on the pc) notes/comments to .pdf documents?

Pretty sure you can and annotations. I see no reason why they would take that functionality out. The new version looks very different by the way but you will find your way around. Another option is foxit reader, different product same results.
