I have seen somewhere removeable crash bar bags using Ortlieb water proof bags but cannot remember where I found them and have searched all over with no joy.

They are attached to the fuel tank crash bars using a P clip type fixing and the bags are made by Ortlieb, are waterproof and removable.

Does anyone know who sells these please?

They are available from Wunderlich

Part No's 1724780 and 1724781.....for the left and right bag :thumb2

I know what you mean but as thier site is in German and has little/no info on this part I wouldn't make that assumption, also the ones I saw a while back had a pic of them on the bike with a desc saying that there were removable etc so I am guessing it was a UK reseller.

If you use this link....

http://www.wunderlich.de/update

....there is a link for 'Download English Catalogues'...and also one for 'Dealers'....click on the UK flag and that'll give you the stockists :thumb2

Personally I use BMWbikeBits...always helpful :thumb2

I have tried BMWBikebits over the last few weeks, I have emailed them and phoned them loads and loads and never had a reply and always get a BT ansa phone.
Guess they must have stopped trading.

mmm....I must admit I tried them a while before Christmas and got the same thing, and thought the same....but did eventually get through...and said they were dealing with the back log????...not sure if it's true?

There are a couple of other alternatives there too...they might be worth a try.
I've never used Nippy Normans but have heard good things, and I think Rainbow is pretty good too?

Thanks but that PN is giving me just a bag, no mounting kit etc.

I'd assume they would come with them??? :nenau

Clicking the "weitere Bilder" link makes it a tad more obvious:

What do people find to pack in these things btw? :nenau

I'm thinking as there is a right and left, this relates to the fixing plates for each side, as a bags a bag!...it does say each bag comes with it's own carrier :augie

I've actually got the Touratech version...but they've never been on the bike...

1. cos I think the plastic clasp on the webbing would rub against the tank (why the plastic wasn't the other way round I don't know! i.e clasp on the bag, webbing looped through that)
2. Cos I'd be apprehensive of putting too much in there for fear of it being gone when I returned to the bike.
3. ....I thought they looked a bit naff on the bike :blast
