Anyone seen the advanced biker YouTube clip showing a big run-on in France
Can't turn his 2017 gs and suggests either new auto suspension and/ or anakees to blame

I have seen it and Know Nigel very well

I am not convinced by his explanation if honest but hey he is a better rider than me and most

Good of him to show we are all fallible

So why did the bike behind him follow? I can't believe it's the same tyres and same suspension issue.

Target fixation on the black piece of debris?

So if the fault was with the leading bike why did he follow his mate in to the ditch? :nenau

EDIT Beaten to it by topcat :D

Braking on the bend and the second rider fixated on the first bike instead of the bend.

Me neither. Seems a bit strange that the first time you tested the how the bike behaves is off in France on a back lane somewhere mid ride..

Nigel was the lead bike
Bob who was filming is also a hugely competent rider and why he almost followed Nigel into the bother i have no idea ( possibly too busy laughing)

I guess it just happens to us all at some point

He's recently swapped from a 15/16 GS and says the 17 didn't respond like his non- auto suspended bike would - which is worrying. A very experienced biker so clearly an issue here. I have a 17 GS so am concerned if the new suspension might over rule an experienced rider

One of the reasons I am not convinced is that the "Auto" setting just alters the ride height or pre load according to the weight the bike carries ( unless I am very much mistaken) Dynamic suspension setting firms it up a bit but just means that the rebound or compression reacts faster to the road surface

So unless there was a big glitch and it "adjusted" itself when it shouldnt have ........

But As said Nigel is hugely experienced ex plod class 1 etc etc so who am I to argue .....

It's a case of shit happens, no matter how good a rider you are a loss of concentration is all it takes.
Some people though can't possibly make a mistake and have to blame the tech.

Can't turn ffs that's not even a bend, probably gazing at his mate in the mirrors, and what about matey behind !

I think we are reading too much into it. A very experienced rider - but they can also have "moments" . That is a twisty road. He has taken so many turns - left and right at good speed before that. What would be the "lack of response" on just that one corner? I think it is a moment where the rider just mistook a turn ... or just blipped on the throttle. The fly-by-wire is sensitive after all. It can happen with experienced riders as well.

Would be good to hear from him after he's had some more time to analyse and dissect what went wrong.

Who fcucked up and then tried to blame his tools

Was it the sun reflecting on his constantly flickering brake light or did he have his foot on the brake all the time?
