Decent recovery, Kept it between the hedges,

I would guess the guy behind's attention was drawn to his mate in front looking like he was about to crash and since you tend to go where you look he ran wide as well.

He was on the brakes when I am sure he would have not been normally. I have seen a lot of his videos and he is much better than that. My two pennyworth, momentary lack of concentration, in too hot and it looks to me like a little target fixation thereafter.
Seriously?! The 1st bike has blatantly gone too quick into the bend and bricks it when it tightens up. He hits the brakes so hard you can see the rear brake light flashing (which it does when you brake very hard).
The 'Advanced Biker' I'm afraid looks more like he simply followed the rider in front, possibly fixated on them going sightseeing temporarily.
More rider error there than anything else, we are all guilty of it. Just don't blame it on anything else

I think you'll find the flashing tail light is a frame rate / LED light thang............unless he's still braking as he accelerates out of the corner..........

Wrong way round !
It doesn't even look as if they were travelling too quickly for the road conditions , more like a temporary loss of concentration followed by an oh f*ck moment and hitting the brakes before recovering composure (just) and luckily without going arse over tit into a drainage ditch
That's correct it is a frame rate issue, but if you watch the vid, the rear brake light suddenly begins to flash differently suggesting they have hit the brakes mid corner, rather than keep the power on and lean.

Agreed, although it's hard to tell categorically...............I was just making the point that he didn't brake so hard as to make the light flash (as it might in an emergency stop) which is what you seemed to imply?

Misjudged how tight the bend was. Done that often enough. Doubt he 'switched off' as you might on a very familiar stretch of road or when dropping right off the pace. What was good about the excursion is that it highlights what you can 'get away with' when you go agricultural if you get off the brakes and look where you want to be. Ok so he cocked up, could have been much worse, but wasn't at all fazed by it and continued his ride as if nothing had happened. Ballsy.
Like Rick I can confirm Nigel is a VERY good rider.

He fucked up a bit, nothing strange there. We've all done it at some time or other 
I thought there was some dried mud/dust on the bend, and he didn't feel comfortable tightening the line? Might explain why the following rider did much the same? We've all done that - seen some loose stuff and gone wider than planned due to uncertainty about leaning further?
