After a week of checking and double checking I decided to get stuck in and fit my fog lamps using Rob Farmers MotoSwitch, I disconnected the battery, laid out the loom Rob sent me put everything in place, undone the 4 screws on the fuse box cover and... there's no way the top comes out of the frame... what do I do?
Help NEEDED here please.:beerjug:

Cant help

Sorry Bawdy, cant help but just wanted to say Hi from Akrotiri! Spent the day on the beach in the breeze and will be sailing tomorrow - looks like I might miss out on the biking on this trip as my sister has too much to do!

Fit Robs Motoswitch to my GS last week Bawdy and must agree - the removal of the fuse box is difficult - eventually got there but slowly, slowly! (Wiggle and jiggle - it will come but don't force it).

Rob's instructions are cock-on so bear with it my friend.

It goes back much easier than it came out by the way!

When you've done and go for the first turn on remember......PUT THE FUSE BACK IN:rolleyes:

Fitted mine without removing the fuse box...was`nt a problem but my GS is`nt an A. Does that make a difference?

Hi Tim, No problem, I'm not working this week so if you get the chance just call me.
You only had a breexe in Akrotiri?? We had a full scale storm.
By the way there are a group of Beemer riders that get together at Aki on a Thursday night, not sure where exactly (Officers or ORs) but one of the guys involved is called Derek, last name Perry I think. :beerjug:

According to Robs instructions I need to get the top off...

Bawdy, it does come out but takes some effort. Raise the back of it first as this will fit between the frame rails. It's tight but does come out. You then manoevre the cover up and backwards and it slides out, still connected by all the wires underneath of course. You then find out just how much room there is below the fuses.

HTH,

The GSA (by the way I love what Pauls done to the GS) fusebox must be different as the top of mine comes away in yer hand (ooh er).

Missed it

Bawdy,

Missed the get together - have two HOGs next door and a Tiger down the road plus a couple of little off-roaders but not seen any GSs! Seems strange as you would have thought them ideal for the area!

Back to Brize tomorrow and will miss the good weather forcast for the weekend. Pooh!
