Adventure key coded top box with vario panniers?

My '14 GS TE came with key coded vario panniers. I'm keen on getting a top box, but am only keen on a metal adventure style top box.

Now, will the bmw adventure top box with locks coded to the bike fit on my current machine, or would I need to go the whole hog and replace the lot wight the fully adventure panniers? Or do I just buy a random other top box without a coded lock??

You'd need the rear luggage grid plus any mounting parts for that grid, see the parts fiche so another couple of hundred on top of the cost of the box. I don't think that grid is standard on a GS, just on the GSA.

You'll need two locks one to secure top box to rack and the other to lock top box lid
