Hi Guys
I've read all I can on the subject, and gone through the search function to find old posts on this, but although it comes up a few times, no one actually answers this question, they mostly post links on recoding, which are very helpful, but not what I'm looking for. The box I believe is a Vario type from either the AC or LC 1200GS and I have the fitting bracket.
So I know you can remove a lock from an open top box which you don't have the key for as I've seen people posting they have it sorted, but I can't see an explanation of how they managed to remove the lock with no key?
I bought a top box second hand and the box is open. It has a lock in place which I have no key for, and can't get one, I don't have access to the VIN number of the bike it came off either. So I want to remove the lock and replace it with another lock or re code my new bike key to it. I just need to know how to remove it without drilling it out, which I will do if I need to.
Pictures of the lock are below as I've removed it from the top box thinking it would then just come out - but no.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
James
