My seat after 16yrs is showing it's age with a number of splits in the vinyl. Not to mention my arse has been numbed countless times on the hard seat.
So, time to modify it. Besides a new non-slip covering material, a gel pad insert would be nice to try.

Airhawk and the like pads look good but, even with the seat as standard I am on tiptoe so don't want additional layers.

Where can I buy a good quality gel pad that will be soft but firm and return back to it's original shape once off the bike?

Thanks

I bought and had gel pads fitted, I didn’t think it made much difference, I bought a TOURATECH seat off eBay in the end

l tried a Tony Archer modified seat with Gel pads fitted, personally I thought it was “SHITE” waste of money. Bit the bullet and bought a Sargent, brilliant never regretted it for one second. I’m vertically challenged at 5’ 8” And didn’t find any difference in height compared to the original seat, if you want to try mine pm me. Alan.
