Adventurebikewarehouse.co.uk

I clicked on the banner on UKGSer and I get the "could not connect to remote server" message from opera. I have tried typing the address into IE and get a similar result. I have run the trouble shooter in IE and it says that the address is not responding.

Still no go here on laptop or desktop. I can get the cached page from this morning but cannot get a current link. Thanks for your help. I will have to check the firewall in my router to see if it has taken an ill will at sites from Manchester.

Well it is a big dangerous place, maybe just too rough for your computers :comfort

I got really pissed off with this particular problem and now know all about pinging sites and reverse domain name searches and NS lookup. A couple of calls to Virgin Media simply told me that there was nothing wrong with their server and the site was offline. I then tried connecting using a free proxy server (just like the ones you use to bypass virgin media's block on Pirate Bay) and lo and behold adventurebikewarehouse site opens fine.

I called back virgin media help and got to speak to a human girl in this country, even sounded Scottish, and she got me to change my local area network settings to use a specific virgin media proxy server through port 8080 and now the site works fine.

I do not know enough about computer ma bobs to say what was happening but it has been suggested that the site cache on the virgin media server may have been corrupted and needs to be flushed down the toilet or something like that. However I am pleased to report that www.adventurebikearehouse.co.uk are now back in their rightful place amongst my favourites in my browser.

Perhaps the mods should move this to the Computer Help section since it was a problem with my ISP all along.
