Bought a battery charger from Lidles do i need to dissconnect from motor bike before charging many thanks

I have an antique charger (so old it actually has an ammeter built in). I connect it direct to the battery and disconnect it when the charging current drops from 2 amps to 1 amp. I don't disconnect the battery as I can't see any reason to. If anything on the bike is drawing current with the ignition switched off then it's trying to flatten the battery so it needs fixing, which might save the need for the charger.

The fact that no-one has given a reply yet suggests that, if they say 'yes', you might frazzle the electrics on your bike and then blame them. On the other hand, dozens of us have connected non BMW chargers and had no ill effects, but these tend to be Optimate or similar and have proven records. We don't know what your Lidl charger will do. How much faith do you have?

If it was my bike I'd just connect it without a second thought.

But it's not my bike...... And, lucky for you, you're not me ;)
