Hi All
Been using ACF50 for years and have just seen Bilt Hamber Atom Mac corrosion inhibitor advertised. Just wondered if anyone can feedback their experience using it as I have been impressed by their other products ?
Thanks

This is great stuff, I’ve used it on a couple of cars and you paint it onto existing rust prior to painting (if its the same stuff). It’s not cheap but it obliterates rust and well worth the price.

One other vote, brilliant stuff, as all their products seem to be. Used on my classic mini and my mates mob gt, great products.👍

Thanks, in what way is it a great product, practical insight of your experiences guys would be appreciated, eg:
. Is it better for rust prevention or as a de-ruster or both ?
. Does it wash off easily in the weather as it is diluted with water, need frequent re-application or good for the whole winter ?
. Does dry to leave non-sticky film ?
. Is it best brushed on or vapourised / spray gun ?
. Is it watery thin to apply ?
. Does it have strong chemical aroma or need to used in a ventilated area ?
Plus any other thoughts would be great.
Cheers

Guys on the Autoshite forum seem to get varying results. Some swear by it, others seem find it fails very quickly. One guy managed to get a second can after issues but found that much the same, rust just came back through within months.

Have you watched this? He tests most of the popular products inc ACF50.

The stuff I’ve got is in a bottle rather that a rattle can, it’s quite watery and applied using a paint brush. I’ve used it on rusty metal after going over with wire wool to get rid of the loose stuff. It dries fairly quickly to a hard finish (not sticky) and I’ve either painted over it or under sealed over it so can’t say if it easily wears/soaks off. It has certainly prevented the surface re rusting after use.

XCP Rust Blocker. Been using it for years and no corrosion where it's been applied.
