Reading your plans reminds me of my first biking trip to Spain. Ferry to Bilbao, one of my firends ran out of petrol before we could find a petrol station, panic, confusion, separation....

But then took the road to Logrono, riding up into the mountains, perfect road, lovely scenery, perfect weather...

I am a little bit jealous.

CHANGE OF PLANS !

Well, due reasons I shan't bore anyone with,Spain is off for this year...we now have a new destination !.Me and the aforementioned mate are going to meet up with two others in Nuremberg then head south for a bimble around Croatia then a bit of Italy. The route and destinations after Germany will be decided on the hoof.
We will be doing the Rotterdam-Nuremberg ride on the Autobahn to eat up the initial miles consequently we would like to pre book the hotel so we are not looking for somewhere to stay after a 430 mile ride.
So..can anyone recommend a city centre (ish) hotel with parking in Nuremberg, please.
Craig
Ps Again, many thanks to everyone who replied regarding Spain, you're thoughts are not wasted, perhaps next year !.

long way

I agree with Wapping, it,s a long way between Santiago in the north to Gib in the south. You want to enjoy the the rides not chasing a time table, it,s a fantastic country for bikes, so take your time to see more, the south will still be there for the next time. :thumby:
