it would be quite surprising if BMW didn't have batteries designed down to a cost price they like - "so whilst not made by BMW" it will be a junk designed to fail bit of trash, like the rest of their bikes are these days

Guess I'm the lucky one, since I have not had any issues worth mentioning on any of my BMW bikes, including a battery letting me down....
