Have just bought a 30 ltr GSA tank and have a couple of questions:

1. I know there is a fuel pipe which goe s beween both sides of the tank. Is it worth fitting a quick release into the pipe? and has anyone done it?

2. The sender unit, have I got to buy the one which fits the tank or can I modify the one in my standard size tank?

Any and all advice appreciated.

quick release connector is a must as it will be nothing but bloody aggro every time you need to remove the tank and as far as i know the sender unit is the same:thumb

If you think that you may have to take the tank off more than a few times put one on each end of the transfer hose it makes it a lot easer

You haven't given this much thought have you. :D

Link pipe with an angled quick release is a must, as for the sender unit if you use the one from the small tank it works fine BUT the tank will show empty at approx 250 miles when you have used 24/ 25 litres of fuel and you will have a 7 litre reserve of fuel left.

Anything your worried about doing it , pop round for a cuppa and I'll go through it with you:thumb2

Hi Chad

I'll gladly take you up on your kind offer. Got to get the bike MOT'd first. Once done will drop you a PM for your address and mobile number.

Cheers
