Advice wanted please!

What I would love to see on a future GSA is

1) Another 50 bhp
2) 90 Degree Tyre Valves
3) Electronic Lowering Setting on Suspension for mounting and dismounting
4) Twin 130db Car Horns
5) Electronic Windscreen Adjustment
6) Front & rear Cameras built into bike with removable storage
7) Heated seats

Thats about it really

I'm sorry your gearbox is shite.
Tough shit that is.
Especially as the vast majority will disagree with you.
Tough titties

you live on your own in a locked room with a lot of free time to just sit there and think you actually know everything, you don't

there have been loads of threads on here complaining about BMW GS/A and gearbox and GSAP problems

PLEASE SWITCH THE INTERNET OFF AND GO OUT ONCE IN A WHILE HEY ...............................................cock

I'll not rise to you.
As I've got the t shirt ref bmw gs and adventure travel.
Africa. Asia all of Europe.

lol congratulations on going by GOOGLE MAPS lmao

please as I have said, the 2017 GSA has had more recalls on gearbox and GSAP than any other model, to the extent that MOTORAD are using my bike as a guinea pig to find a solution to all the problems there having and that came direct from BMW yesterday

Bought my first gs in 2000. Fantastic 1150.
I miss that bike. 14 years I had it. 100k no issues.
Had 2 GSA LC's since and a triumph tiger explorer. My 2017 is sweet. Gearbox fantastic.
As is the keyless.
Im pissed in Majorca. And my Mrs will get the ump me replying lol

I'd better sell mine quick.
There will be faulty ones. Of course. But you'll only hear about the dodgy ones. I'm gutted for you.

Sounds like you've lost confidence in the modern technology.
What's the alternative ?
1150 ?

Had no problems with my Twin Cam 2011 reg so I don't know, will give the new one another go then if no good it will be back to twin cam I think or look for an alternative as there is so much out there at the moment and all good just not a BMW

I tried another brand. Triumph.
To me there is only one. BMW.
The bigger picture.
Like I said. There will be bikes that fail. But the vast majority go on and on without missing a beat. Forums are full of the bad stories.

that's the problem with forums etc

people are very quick to say how bad something is (including myself) but I have at the same time complimented the dealer to which I bought it from, indeed there are always some that just are not as they should be, but in this modern day and age and also the cost of them, they should be right first time, every time

I don't want something else and I'm missing my bike already as I have a 2003 pan European st1300 to use and a new nineT they lent me but its still not "my GSA"

My 65 reg te had gsap, my new exclusive has gsap and keyless. The gsap, and indeed the whole gearbox, is improved. I didn't want keyless, but that was on the bike I got; I don't like it. I especially dont like that BMW only give you one real key.

I've read lots about this second real key.
I don't get it
Why do you need two ?
I used the plastic emergency key just to see it works. It does.
I can't see the need for another full fob. Unless you are an absent minded professor?
It works.
I always go away with the full fob in my jacket. Access to the luggage. But always have the spare plastic key in my tank bag attached to my spare disc lock key.
It's full proof.

lets hope you don't leave the bike with the "spare plastic key" in your tank bag so anyone can just walk up to it and ride her off :beerjug:
