Advice wanted please!

Let's hope I don't leave the key on the seat with a sign saying "here's my key, ride my bike & and also my credit card is under the seat & and bank details are written down for your pleasure "

The spare plastic key has to be "in contact" with the sensor under the rear mud guard.
So anyone wouldn't be able to walk up to it and ride her away.
Why suggest such a silly thing ?
Silly sausage

I didn't know it had to be in contact, I thought it would work as the main key does as a proximity thing silly sausage lol :beerjug:

Don't.. it will be rotten before he has it six months and no hope of a warranty claim.

I suspect he doesn't ride one. And hates that he doesn't ride one.
May be wrong? .....

Its a 2015 GSA. I have published the photos elsewhere as I was in the middle of a complaint with my dealer. Basically my bike at 10000 miles and 18 months looks like its ten years old. It my seventh BMW and I love the boxers. BUT this one has been a nightmare. it already had £3000 worth of warranty work on engine clutch and gearbox, and new exhaust due to valve jamming. My latest complaint entails a mass of corrosion. on the rear subframe which was apparently painted on a friday. The paint being thinner than a Lidl binbag. The final drive has a massive area of bubbling at the rubber gaiter and the rear wheel has more pits than Durham. I have had real problems getting the dealer to repair it but after BMW got to hear about it it's now been fixed under warranty with replacement of all the parts.. This should tell you two things..
1: some bikes are genuinely dogs.
2: BMW are getting to realise that saving a few quid on build costs does NOT pay.

its sad that the reputation has been irrevocably damaged since these builds in 2015 onwards. I hope that the future will stop accountants changing production materials based on costs.
